I did a search and could not find this info, so I apologize ahead of time if I missed it, but what does some of the cars out there weigh? Especially the fast ones. My 70 Mav weighs in at 2884 with the roll cage and ladder bar setup, two race bucket seats, no rear seat, no WWipers or motor, no heater box, stock dash, carpet, lite weight hood, fuel cell with fuel, myself, and a nitrous bottle. These are the individual weights, Left F. 814, Right F. 723 Left R. 710 Right R. 637. Curious as to how light someone has got theirs.
2620 for me. Full 14 pt cage, Mustang 2 front, 4 link/backhalf rear, no rear seat of course, no headliner, carpets, mats or anything like that. Also has an aluminum dash that really isn't much lighter than a factory dash but it is in better shape than the original was. That is with a 414" windsor and powerglide along with a 9" rear. M2 discs on front with stock calipers, and S10 rear discs and calipers.
My 71 2-door is not fast but it only weighs 2562 without me in it. All stock, 250I6, no a/c, no p/s, full interior with front benchseat, no spare tire. Oh yeah, and only 1/4 tank of gas.
I had my Sprint weighed with a full tank of gas and my fat ass in it, on a certified Cat Scale. It was 3240. At the time I probably weighed 230-235.
2275 without me in it and the weight is equally divided among all four corners..around 570 lbs per tire
2,660lbs without me in it (the red one). I do not know how much on each corner. Small Block, 9" rear, has carpet, no rear seat, two racing seats, 5 gal fuel cell, Weld Pro Star wheels, front runners, 9" slicks, glass hood, hmm.... I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Oh yeah, no A/C, PS or radio.
Do you have to put extra weight on the passenger side when you're driving? You know, to help with traction? Ain't I a stinker?
