I don't know much about what a maverick should go for. I found one near where I live and I was wondering if it was a good deal. I went and looked at it. It is a 1971 Maverick with a 302, 4 barrel, agressive cam, headers, dual ex. The motor is clean with no leaks. I was assured the car drives fine but I am going back on Monday to test drive it.
The body is in good shape with no dents and only minor rust. It will eventualy need a new paint job but it looks pretty good. The person that is selling it just replaced the headliner, Vinal top, weather seals on all the glass. He told me he wanted $2000 for it. He said that he would through in 2 vinal bucket seats and bench seat from a 73 Maverick. The seats are flawless. It looks like a good deal to me but I have not seen many Mavericks and don't know what they go for. Any advice you could give me would be great.
    I attached some pictures.
    Thank you,
    Jonathon

If there's no major rust, I'd say $2000 is a steal, and you should jump on it before someone else does...

I agree 100%...car looks great! Better jump quick! :bouncy: Looks like a good Grabber hood on it too. Do you know if it's a real Grabber? Get the vin# and we can tell you.

That hood ALONE is worth over $500.

    Sorry, I'm not Jamaican

The accent would be cool. I lived down under for a couple of years though. Maybe that counts.
Enless nothing major goes wrong I plan to pick it up Monday. I will get the VIN so you can tell me if it is an original Graber. I left a deposit and got it in writing so I should be ok until Monday afternoon. Thank you all for your advice,
    Jonathon

I would buy that car, and the first thing I'd do is put some decent wheels on it...

if the vin says 93 in it it is an original grabber. $2000 is a great deal if it runs okay. probably still a decent deal even if it needs some engine work.:)
