    I had this brilliant idea! Polish out the pot metal until it looked like chrome and then clear coat it with Eastwood Bare Metal Clear .... it was going great and looking good. Until the buffing wheel grabbed it and threw it against the wall at 100 miles per hour! :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

    I'm gonna try that muggy weld Super Alloy #1 I linked to above. The FAQ's, Videos and their testimonials say it works great on pot metal and is better than sliced bread.

    if it works I'll have to go into the pot metal repairs business!

    im guessing that was the licance plate frame from where your maverick was originally purchased? that really $u*ks.

    few years back when i got my olds it still had the dealersip emblem on the trunk, of course it got thrown away. im kinda kicking myself now
