I just did an awesome burnout in the parking lot of my job. :evilsmile The pavement was dry and the tires are new. The torque converter is stock with only a 1600RPM stall, and the rear-end is a "posi". I lit 'em up and revved to 6-grand before I let off. 'Rear-end kept trying to go sideways. There was tons of thick tire-smoke. So why is this a big deal? Well, it's not, but not only was it fun, it was also cool because only a month ago, this thing would not break the tires loose (not even a "chirp"). 'Motor has about 440 miles on it now. I am now thinking that with a valve adjustment and carb tweak, this thing just might run satisfactorily afterall...
Hey Scooper,,,quit mixing your oil with the GAS!!!! Good Job on the burn out T.L.!!!! Never get tired of them!
how come when us kids do burnouts you older fellows get pissed at us and say were gonna break our cars and stuff? but when you guys do it you give each other props? and you know its true..
Because our dads did it to us. My dad did the best burnout I ever saw in my 1967 Fairlane back in 1977. He lit 'em up for over 150 feet and left two real pretty lines. He did this not six months after he told me he didn't want to see me racing and "laying drag" in my newly built hot rod. How many of you "old guys" remember laying drag?
