I have a 1976 4-door I am parting out. I am wondering if it would be worth it to use the front coil springs from that car. Would they be any stiffer than mine? It is a v-8 A/C car as is mine but it is a 4-door big bumper and mine is a 73 2-door.
    Thanks
    Cary

If anything, it will probably make your car sit higher in the front end than it does now. What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the car?

I want to cut the coils to lower the car but I already bottom out my headers on rough roads.(which is all Oklahoma roads) So I am hoping the 4-door springs might be stiffer to keep the car from bottoming out if I cut a coil or two.

Cary, I doubt the springs would be any stiffer. I'd say you just need to get a good quality gas shock which should keep it from bottoming out.
