Ward could not have said it any better. I know how it feels to look at a car you have put so much work into and just feel hopeless about it. I had to start over also after Katrina put 4 feet of water in my blue car but fortunately I was able to save mine. It also gave me the opportunity to change some things to the better.
I had really hoped to make it to the show a couple weeks ago so I could meet you and see your car in person but just could not make it. I now regret that very much. If nothing happens I will be there next year and hope to see your newer, better than ever car. Look forward to meeting you guys! Good luck!!!

I can't believe that beautiful car is gone. VERY SAD .............

I remember the first time I saw it on my little 20" computer monitor. I thought it was totally one of the best Mavericks out there and really changed my opinion on building a 4 door. I can only imagine how nice it was to see in person let alone what it must have been like to own - such a nice car!

There is a 4 door in PA on collector car trader. Claims to have 43,000 miles - it is a 73 so it wouldn't take anything to keep the early car look.

    Here is a link.

Guess i'm the slowest here... Just read the whole thread and agree with Ray about wardf, said it the bestest.
I too always think of your car when a 4 door is mentioned. The best 4 door i've seen.
Glad everyone and your home is ok. Also good to hear your considering another. There's plenty of time to do it again, be awhile before your daughter grads-e-ates. :D

Oh, NO! I haven't been on the forum in a few weeks, so I just saw your post. I am VERY sorry! I have an 11 year old daughter, too. I can understand how much it hurts to see your kid cry. How nice it must have been for the two of you to have a little project going together. Maybe you can get another Mav and start over together. I hope so. I really feel bad to see such a nice car and a little girl's (and her Daddy's) dreams literally go up in smoke. I am truly sorry that happened to you. Take care.
