    Howdy,
Nice to be a part of this group.....I was really hoping someone out there has a 1973 Comet grille to sell. I've got a '73 2-door 302 V-8, A/C, P/S, Cruise Control, deluxe trim package, white vinyl top, white leather interior and only 60,000 miles original. The oil has been changed religiously at no more than 2900 miles each time. I've got every receipt for every service since the day she drove off the showroom floor. BUTTTTTTT, a little mishap occurred in the garage and she needs a new grille. That leads me to ask, what grilles could I use? Would a Comet GT grille work in a standard model? What about the years? I checked the Hollander interchange and it appears that a 72-3 grille is interchangeable between both Mavericks and Comets, so if anybody out there has answers or more importantly, a grille for ol'blu, drop me a line ASAP as she just doesn't look right with them broken teeth like that......thanks,

    Welcome to the Madness!

Sounds like you have a very nice Comet. Even cruise control, wow, that's fully loaded. You will find Comet grilles are available occasionally on Ebay. I just bought a nice one there. They are not seen as often as the Maverick ones, but come up every so often. Good luck with your journey!

:Welcome:to the board. The Comet GT grill will fit. The only difference is, the GT grill is black (not silver). I just sold my silver Comet grill. Good luck on your quest....

Welcome!! If you don't find a grill closer to you, I have a few in the attic of my garage. (From the Comets I've used as parts cars for my Mavericks) :D

    Howdy and :Welcome:
Is your cruise control an after market unit or factory? I have never seen one of these cars with factory cruise control.

    Hey Dave,
Thanks to you and all the guys out there that replied to my post.....This is a pretty cool group to be a part of.....I don't know how much of a hassle it would be for you, but I'd be willing to pay you for your time and trouble, the shipping costs, and the grille of course....Let me know and I'll get you some cash....I tried to post some better pics. but they're more than 250 mb and the site wouldn't let me....You seriously won't believe how close to showroom floor this car is, especially the interior. Thanks alot and once again thanks to everyone out there. k

Four guys in the late sixties said it best, "I get by with a little help from my friends..."
