Up date on my Maverick: I went and messed around with my 74 Maverick yesterday. Poured gas in the tank, primed the carb, hit the key, engines spins, wouldn't run...Checked the points and notice I could read the gap with a yard stick...set the points by eye, primed the carb, it ran for a second or two. Pulled the fuel line, hit the starter, no gas is pumping out of the line. Check every parts store in town but still had to wait a day to get a new pump. Came back and had a friend pour gas in carb while I turned the key and had it running for 20-30 seconds. No smoke or knocks...Today I install new fuel pump and notice the distributor was loose. Let it run for a while adjusted timing by ear then we loaded it on the trailer and hauled it to the house. Tomorrow I will get the timing light and dwell meter to it and get the brakes installed and look under the dash for that dang key buzzer.

I will need to put a muffler on it then...Maybe it will quiet down when I get some carpet on the floor.
If not, foam padding and a zip tie will be my friend. I can go for a light buzzer ..or some type of chime...(y)
