    Would the "1572" not be the amount of yellow Stallions? It would be Stallion only for that Paint/Trim code?? Wasn't the trim code unique for Stallions?

    I thought of that too, but i think the yellow was offered as a color for "standard" Maverick...maybe somebody know the answer!

    the last one i remember seeing come from my '73 LDO i parted out. i think it had 3K as the first 2 digits (year and assembly plant) then the individual sequence number (last 6 of the vin)...


    so i guess the answer to ur questions is yes, it corresponds with THAT particular car

    oh, and the transmission was stamped just like that as well
