I've always liked those factory aluminum ones, plus they are a dime a dozen in junkyards. I've got a set that I wet sanded smooth and powder coated, they look nice. I was going to run them on my car when I was going to put a V8 in it.
i prefer the Aluminum... but these are the best in my opinion http://www.autokrafters.com/v4/go.g...products&show_product_id=497691&product=26921
tought call for me. Only thing that I don't like about either one is the aluminum ones have that TALL filler neck. If you modified that.....for me it would be a draw.
Those particular aluminum covers are very short. Then again, aluminum dissipates heat better than chrome. I like tall and aluminum personally.
The only time I like chromed valve covers is when they are the original powered by ford valve covers chromed
I like aluminum because I'm lazy.If you let aluminum go for a while,it gets dull, you buff it out.You let chrome go,it rusts and then they're junk.
them are my new covers......i have a pic. somewhere..... i'll wade through my pics. and see if i can find one.
