    ...Do I need it?

Never before seen a car with a cooler on the power steering lines until I got my Mav. I'm replacing the hoses in a (probably futile) attempt to stop the power steering from leaking, and I was wondering if I can omit that.

    Thanks!

...And it looks like nobody sells the lines locally, guess I'll have to make some.

Must have been an option. None of my Mavs with PS have a cooler.

Good for the return lines, but does anybody sell the pre-fitted and crimped pressure lines? I'm willing to do it myself, but for the cost of the tools and materials I might be better off getting them pre-made.

Then again... Always love an excuse to get more tools...

I believe that I have mostly, if not exclusively seen them on 6 cylinder Mavs and Comets.

Granada's had them, at least the 77 donor I had did. I think my 84 4X4 F150 has one , too.

My 74 had the cooler also,I replaced the lines with transmission cooler hose.I also deleted the cooler as its small size and location wasn't doing much anyways. As for the pressure line any local hydraulic shop can make you the line you seek probly cheaper then you could buy it.

I took it that your Mav had the donor... Anyway, the Granada 250 I have needs a harmonic balancer and I can't find one. It's out of a Granada. Well, I did actualy but I have to send mine out of state to have it rebuilt. Gonna cost like $100...

Gene, there is a Granada with a 6 cylinder in a junkyard very near to me.

I have to go back this Monday for several more parts.

I could get it if you want, I would only charge you $5 over the actual yard price. USPS priority mail shipping would be $10.35.

    I have a puller.
I assume that the Granada's only came with 250 cubic inch 6 cylinder engines? Don't have to worry about a 200 incher?
