I talked to the owner. He told me that he's had 25+ calls about it....Some people wanted to know if it runs (?) if they could drive it home (??) flat tow it behind another car (???) and if it was restorable.... And of course!! The be all and end all....is that it has a BOSS 302!!!! (which it doesn't) but he said quite a few people think there is something special about the engine..... Since it's Easter weekend, he's going to give me a call on Tuesday, once he figures out what the scrap value would be.
Scrap value right now is aboot 45 dolers a tonne Dave.I dont think that car weighs a ton anymore looks like it took a "malacchi crunch" too.Too bad the poor thing was a good looker at one time
Its sad to see all these cars just sitting and rotting away....thats why I bought my Mav, because the owner said its heading to a junkyard because he didnt need it. Something very satisfying about taking a car destined for the junkyard and giving it another chance at life...its an odd feeling...lol Or maybe Im just odd
You wouldnt believe what happens yo our cars up here. My Mav is from Jordan Ford in San Antonio. Still had the dealer sticker on it. Its really cool to work on it with no rust. We have 2007 vehicles up here that need torches to get brake fittings loose. Rust sucks when you work under the flat rate pay system believe me. On the positive we dont get much in the way of killer hail and hurricanes up here.
Ya same with my comet. The guy said he just wanted quick money. So it was either me or a junk yard. I think its cool to say that you saved a car from the junk.
That is very nice car... 1 owner, low miles, true california car, very nice , deserves a spot on barret jackson with a 1 of a kind 302 boss...
