So I've had this 9" axle that I "stole" for $150 waiting on leaf springs to go in my car. Meanwhile I put disc brakes on it so at least I would them in the back and then I'd worry about the fronts later. I finally got the leafs in last week and spent yesterday swapping the axles. I put an ad here and on CL to sell/trade the 8" yesterday. Last night a kind fellow inquired and stated he had complete front disc assemblies from a Granada and would be willing to trade. So today we made the swap and I will now have disc brakes all the way around!! That axle wasn't out for 24 hours and it's gone! That's the way to do it! :yahoo:

    AWESOME!
Let us know how it performs when you are done.

I got a Granada 9" from a junkyard for 75 bux, which is good, but your overall deal/end product beats the heck out of that even IMO.

I guess the waiting paid off, it's good to not rush. I gotta learn that lesson still.

    congrats!

That's still a great deal for $75. I'd buy those all day long. I may have to spend $200 for rotors and calipers and such, but I didn't set foot in a junkyard which is especially good because it's been close to 100 degrees here.
