I say FOUND but I seriously doubt it was ever lost to begin with. Anyhow, the following link has a pretty good source for online readable AND printable wiring diagrams for the 1970-1977 Mavericks. The documents are in PDF format so you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader somewhere on your computer.

    Here's the link: http://www.maverickcomet.com/Wiring/Maverick.asp

Mark; I don't see the sport lamps on either the '71 or '72. Are they an add-on that doesn't show, or do you have them on another drawing? Or.......am I blind?

Nope, not blind Earl..alot of the subsystems are missing from these diagrams (they are from Mitchell). :( If you can snag a copy of the factory wiring diagrams the sportlamps are there...I saw it at the library about 15 years ago. The Mitchell diagrams are better than nuttin' though ;)

Hey Mark, I have complete 72 wiring diagrams that include the sport lamps. Email me your info and I will get them copied and sent to you. Or maybe Kinkos canc copy them & put them on a disc. My scanner is too small.

Hmmm...my site is still up and running. It works best with Internet Explorer, but you could use Firefox or Netscape and get to the wiring diagrams pretty well:

    http://www.maverickcomet.com/Wiring/Maverick.asp

Now, the diagrams won't show you how to hook up a 1 wire alternator...in that case you'd just hook the main power wire to the battery side of the starter solenoid. If you want to use a 3 wire so you can still have an idiot light the diagrams might help for that...
