    I have $1000 to spend and i want to make the engine go alot faster. What should i upgrade? Its a bone stock 302 2 barrel i was thinking 4 barrel upgrade but what about a racing cam?

    Dual plane intake,600 Holley, headers and exhaust. Could do mild cam and timing chain if budget allows. Those stock rear end gears need to go next. Maybe someone on here can help you with a used intake and or carb. I have a good 600 but your too far away.
    What is the igntion curve on a 73 Dist. like? Any body know? That may be a good upgrade.

    That should do the trick for a $1000.00
    I would do the intake 4 brl. Then later on when you got some more money, work on the internals of the engine. If you do it yourself, you can save a lot of money.

    If it is stock, I would start with a intake/carb swap. and go from there. I think I have a aftermarket intake if you are interested. If you are going to build a motor later, I would hold off on the cam untill you know exactly what you want to get out of the motor.JMHO. The cam and intake will make a BIG difference. If stock though I would recomend 600 cfm Vac secondary.

    I have headers already just not hooked up gonna hook them up soon and i guess just look for a cheap 4 barrel set up somebody here had the set up for like $100 so i would still have $900 left. ??
