Just finished my restoration, and wanting to hit up some car shows, and gatherings.. seems like all the good ones are mid west, and Georgia haha..

    In the future?

BTW, whos Virginias state rep? i could organize a Maverick, Falcon gathering being there a ton of falcons roaming around these parts, and only a few Mavs/Comets...

Nah, nothing to be ashamed of.. it just takes time. Ive had mine for 10 years now, and this is the 2nd resto.. 1st one was a highschool bodyshop experiment... Ive learned a few things since then.. keep working at it, and you'll have what you want.

Ive never seen a Mav/Comet at any car shows around here.. most all are just daily drivers. Ill be the first in the area i guess to actually have a show car.

Trust me, it doesnt take long to get 30K in one over 10 years...

how far south west is this town? One thing I want to do is travel a meet some nice people again at a event like that. We usually go to ohio to swap meets to pickup parts for my son's 64 Fairlane. Now it's my turn to have fun. Email me back at schroensr@yahoo.com with info guys

I was at the Ford car show in Carlisle 2 years ago and there was a nice group of the Mavericks and Comets there. Plus there are a lot of parts for sale. Fords at carlisle is the first weekend in June, it starts on the friday. I am planning on going this year, already registered. I will be looking at new Mustang stuff, not Comet stuff since my old Comet GT is long gone.
