i cut out my floor in my trunk and made a frame to drop in a 22gallen tank in so far i have no problems but it was a lot of fab work

Yes this way should require the minimum amount of fab work , thats the reason I chose this tank ......

I would remove the area in red and continue the factory contour Would make it look factory installed.

Thought about that , but I dont want to make more cuts than I have to , I have it completed now , just gotta take more pics tomorrow and post up ...rubber hose was almost too short that came with the new tank , but it barely fit ....and I have to lengthen the sending unit wire as well

Wow, your car still has the shipping brackets on the rear frame rails!!
Looks like it'll be tight, if you want to run full tailpipes..

shipping brackets ? I thought they were for tow hooks LOL , Grandma bought it new in oct of 1969.

Its been off the road since 1998 , seats are getting recovered this week , I have new carpet to go in it , we put some dynomat on the whole floorboard of it and I am going to try to clean the interior up some this week while im waiting on the seats and get it fired up and running again.

I gotta get a new positive battery cable , but so far its got new headgasket , new fuel pump , new distributor , new alternator and volt reg. , new sending units , water pump , Tstat , front shocks , hijackers in the back to get the back to quit sagging , and alot of cleaning , sanding , priming etc .....passenger door had a crease in it , passenger fender was crushed so that was replaced from a donor and a donor car also got me a grabber spoiler and hood .

Trying do decide on what 4 lug wheels im going to put on it now since there arent much choices ....probably just going to put some saw blade chrome steel wheels on it for now .

Looking good. (y) I'd seriously consider changing over to 5-lug though. Make it easier for a disc brake swap later and an endless choice of wheels.

I saw that too. White Comet lights would fix those tiny tail lights!
Very attractive Maverick. I love the interior color.
