Brakes got done today!!! Now I can drive it back up to boone!!! (alot more need for a bench seat in a small college town :bananaman). Just have to bleed the brakes and test drive it around town for a while. yes. I know where she can sit lol. I want to make it comfy and fun for when I'm cruising by myself too. (please no lube jokes haha). It looks sporty on the outside at least? lol

Thank You!!! If I wanted a shaggin' wagon I would have bought a van not a maverick. don't get me wrong, I'm keeping the bench seat now lol. But I want it to feel sporty... do the two just not go together?

No. If you need an honest answer, there is no sporty bench seat. If there was, it wouldn't be comfortable if there was someone sitting next to you, as the above comments have pointed out. You can get one with an armrest that flips down so you and your passenger can be separated. Do you want that?

How about a different cover? I'll bet leather would approach sporty, and still retain "passenger comfort".

Back in the 70s my 55 ford had factory bench seat and I got some nice buckets out of a ss impaula, I intended to put them in then got a girlfriend who rode next to me, my dad didn't like the buckets in the garage so told me to put them in or get rid of them, I got rid of the buckets ( he thought it was because I was too lazy to put them in) glad I stayed with the bench because I would have thrown it away, a seat for a 55 crown vic would be hard to find now

Or, alternatively, she could beef up her padding and it would be a less expensive and more interesting option.....

    Oh, that was bad.....

    Hmmmm . . . a bit of a hump there in the middle, but not bad . . .

I changed my mind. I could do the hump in the middle.
