What are you trying to wire up? Do you need the firing order?

:hmmm: I know it doesn't have a lot of wires and it looks like it has a dura spark II or maybe something that looks like it .

Let me start over I have a 351 in a donor truck it has had all the wires cut...( I don't know why people have to go cutting wires and hoses ) I don't know where any of them go. The only thing still intact is the Distributor, spark plug wires and the coil pack plug wire. The metal box (which Im sure goes to the distributor and coil) has been cut as well so I'm at a loss.

My apologies for not explaining the first time :sorry: I was in a hurry!

Looks like you've stumbled across Ford's electrnic feedback carb setup. Best thing to do with it is remove all the BS wiring and bolt on a Holley 2 bbl carb on the intake. Then replace the distributor with a Duraspark from an earlier application. Or a points dizzy fitted with an electronic conversion module. My son acquired one of these hermaphrodites recently in an 83 Bronco. He's ripped out all the crap and started fresh with a carb setup.

And after you do all of that I'll stick to my earlier statement.

Well, actually mean_maverick put it in words. Not a lot of wiring. (if he follows your suggestions) (y)

    :thumbs2: You guys are awesome!

I should just start asking questions even though I don't really need an answer :biglaugh:

Do you have some sort of diagram or something? I freeze up when it comes to changing things over.... I got it when it's just rebuilt with same parts but when it's converting to different parts I get worried and lost... I guess I could call it a mechanics anxiety :p ..... well electrical stuff anyways.

Oh yeah by the way, I have an old holly annihilator ignition box would that work with the duraspark system?

Anyways thanks for all the info :tiphat:

What I'd do is take that wiring diagram rthomas linked to and trace down the igniton and the electronic feedback carb wiring to their source and remove them. Then start back with the ignition system of your choosing. Points distributor with a Pertronix or other conversion modules are the simplest to wire(two wires). Duraspark's good too, but a bit more involved to wire. As for the MSD system ? Over priced and no better than what I just listed. Only way I'd ever consider it is if I was going deep into power adders or NOS.
