Has anyone else used it. It sprays a 125 shot and it costs under $400 so it is reasonable. It will be going on a stock ho longblock.

    What is stock ho? :hmmm:
That 100 or 125 spray is one thing I hope to have in the future.

I ran one for 12 or 13 years. What's your question?

An HO motor out of a fox body stang. I was wondering how it worked on a basically stock motor and what your opinion of it was.

the engine will handle it IF your fuel system is up to par and your ignition
your best bet is to run a separate fuel system

You certainly want to make sure that carb is working right. One good lean spot and :Ifireworks:off to the wild blue yonder.

thats a decent system. you want to make sure your fuel pump can maintain at least 5 psi to the system when running. also you will want to retard the timeing 4 to 6 degrees. if you keep it from going lean and not going into detination youll have lots of fun with it.

I ran mine for a lot of years on a cast piston 302. I used a Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind to protect the engine, control the nitrous and timing. Used a Carter street and strip mechanical pump. The biggest PITA is having to have the bottle refilled all of the time. $5 everytime you push the button.

Heck, I bet I use $5 worth of fuel when I punch the gas pedal in my Dodge, and I barely move lol... pos 4.7 :rant2:. Could I put NOS on that?

NOS solenoids suck. After a few years they need rebuilt. Mine started hanging up after about 4 years. Compucar solenoids are garunteed for life- I've got one that's probably 15 years old & still works properly. I don't even know if Compucar is still in business. But I would look into another setup besides NOS(Edelbrock/ZEX,etc). Also if you're gonna spray it, I'd stud the heads, ARP rod bolts and get some forged pistons(not those "hyperactive" ones). Follow the directions with whatever nitrous kit you get, particularly the directions about timing and fuel. A Holley red will support the nitrous system fine, run a dedicated fuel line for the system. A stock mechanical pump will support your engine as long as it's not too radical. Have fun...it's addictive.

Couldn't tell you. In the 37 years I've owned the car it's only been on a track 2 times, during Roundup. The suspension/tires aren't set up for racing, I couldn't get traction running NA much less spraying.
