40? Naa, maybe close to 30... Frank has more in his, and it's not even painted. Either way, I enjoy it, it's my hobby, expensive but fun. I enjoy the hunt for parts, that can't just be ordered from a catalog. I actually enjoy building the cars, more than driving them. But that may change with my latest project....we'll see. Even my Mustang friends admit that doing a Maverick is more time consuming and can be more expensive (in some ways), and these are guys with MCA judged cars.
If I had it to spend I could easily drop $50K into mine. I have ideas...things I want to do to it but no cash. With unlimited funding I could always find something else to buy and do.
This was a Comet that sold on Barret Jackson a few years ago. But I have a list of other cars, Mavericks & Comets that have sold for similar, and even higher values, not just from Ebay. I was bidding on a 72 Grabber at a local auction, that finished at over $11000.00
