Ever feel like the questions the questions you're posting are really dumb (or even just part of them) and then look back to the questions you would ask when you first joined the site and feel better about urself? i do.
hey man im new to the whole maverick and car thing since im young but still know what you mean.im learning alot and if i may i thank everyone on this forum for answering the questions even if there dumb
When i joined i didnt know nothing about cars. I was about 15. I seriously thought a bumper was called a fender. Its one of my first threads, asking if they would swap out.
This site and the knowledge of it's members has taught me volumes of information on Fords and the maverick. I built my first engine (all but pistons) with the help of the forum. Rebuilt my first rearend, swapped my first engine and transmission, and built up the fastest thing I have ever driven with four wheels. And, "yes", I asked some pretty dumb questions in my first couple hundred posts. Still do, sometimes.
I am a firm believer that the only stupid question is the one that goes unasked! We've all been there at one time or another. I still find things on vehicles I don't know anything about and I've been working on cars & bikes for 32 years. -Scott H.
It's has to start somewhere, even if it seems people think your questions are dumb, the same people answering them had the same questions, at one time. But sometimes, it seems that people ask dumb questions on purpose....Like I always say to my apprentice "Think before you talk"
I never identify dumb,,,,, it just comes to me !!!! Everybody knows something someone else doesn't,,,,,, an makes me wonder who is smart enough to know what is dumb,,,,
If I ask a dumb question on purpose I put it in the General Discussion Forum instead of technical lol. The worst is when I post a question or update and then have the Homer Simpson 'doh!' epiphany two hours later and wonder why I didn't think of it in the days of research before asking lol.
