Yeah, my wife has a 6 cyl mustang convertible, which is pretty quick, somewhere around 300 hp. She thinks it is fast. Then she rode with me and I nailed it coming onto the highway and scared the bejeezus out of her.
I get to drive a lot of new cars at the dealership and some of the new stuff is pretty quick. Aside from the obvious being our Viper the SRT LX chassis cars are pretty quick with the 6 speed manual. The Challenger being the quickest. The 6.1 Hemi with the 6 speed is a ton of fun for a car that idles dead smooth, gets over 15 mpg and fires right up at -20. Of course it would run you almost 50 grand to put it in the driveway though. I've driven enough of them to know my Mav would leave it standing off the line but it sure would pass me in a hurry when I ran out of gear and hes still in 4th gear with 2 more to go. Not really comparing Apples to Apples. The Challenger makes the Mav really feel like a 40 year old car because it is. One thing I do know and can say with certainty is that Challenger will not be around in 40 years unless its parked in a museum.
I've spanked more that a few honda's,a couple of integra's,newer mustangs and camerao's,alot of it has to do with the driver,i beat a vette once only because the moron light the tires up and couldnt keep it stright and was too stupid to let out,he coulda beat me at half power lol
Embarrassing. The Cayenne are 500 plus HP for the S model I believe. Even the regular turbo is around 450 hp. Thats one nasty machine with all wheel drive. No need to be embarrassed over that one.
On public streets? Absolutely not. No one should be taking other people's lives in their hands like that. Keep the racing at the drag strip.
theres this local guy who builds all motor hondas....these are four cylinders [nomedia]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3EPuc9nI8A[/nomedia] 1988 CRX Unibody, D16 full street: 12.68 @ 107mph 1988 CRX Unibody, D15 full race: 10.77 @ 123mph 1988 CRX Unibody, F22A full race: 9.81 @ 139mph 2006 Insight Unibody, F22A: 9.38 @ 151mph http://www.bisimoto.com/

Yeh hondas are fast once you sink 10000 dollars into them (or you can build a stroker with a trac loc 9 inch for 3 thousand)
i ate up a new mustang till we hit about 105mph then he blew my doors clean off!l good thing they are bolted on good. Honda's around here are stock except a cold air intake and a pooper muffler. I pipe them with my duels and flow master super 40's and the go hide under a rock. wussy's. I took a new camaro stop light to stop light. yeah ii know, even suprised me. must have been the driver. Maverick might not be one of the fastest things around here, but it will hang with most of the guys around here that are broke like the rest of us. If I had more money my car would be stupid fast and i would have to by an extra pair of underwear to go with all the new go fast parts.
Yep it costs money to generate ponies with no cubic inches. I personally hate Hondas but I have respect for a little 4 cylinder running 10's. Thats an accomplishment for the builder to be proud of. I wouldnt have a problem losing to one at the track. I'd get a laugh out of it.
The best part is that the guy(Bisi Ezerioha) is self made, started out as just a young kid then worked his way up and now has his own company. My brother in laws was old friends with him, hes the one who told me about him. And some of these engines are tiny! Only 1.5L! with No power adders! running 9/10 seconds in the 1/4mile.
