well for insurance reasons it is worth what you and the appraiser and the insurance company can come to agreement on. try to get an agreed value document of some sort included in your policy and keep a copy. If you want us to "appraise" it, pics are needed.... Congrats and welcome aboard...

Doesn't collector car insurance companies such as Hagerty or Grundy let you put your own value on a car and then pay accordingly?

Mine is through Silver Wheels and is based on the appraisal amount. Its about 120 bucks a year full coverage with Silver Wheels for 10000 appraisal.

Yes, but if you set your price too high, they can challenge it and counter with their own. Also, if you list the options or facts about the car wrong, they may not have to pay for loss or damages.

I may know more on this in a few weeks. Just offered a job to do just this with a leading insurer on specialty cars like ours, etc.

Hotrod bob is correct. You will need supporting documentation if you have a loss and the Insurance company can (probably will) challenge the claim. Agreedapon value is also more expensive, but I feel is worth it when you consider tthe time and money spent on restoration (or resto-mod).
