302 Oil Pan Gasket

The oil pan gasket on my Mav's 302 has been leaking for a while now, and since I finally have time I want to replace it. I want to get a one piece gasket but the Ford Racing one on Summit says it is only for '83-up 5.0's, but it should work shouldn't it? I wouldn't think there would be any difference between the years for this. Will it fit?

 

The bolt pattern is the same. I have the 1-peice gasket on my '63 289

thats the one pice gasket for a 2 pice rear main seal block

 

I love those things and I'll never use anything else. I use their similar valve cover gaskets too.

 

I can attest to the awesomeness of this gasket as well. I'll never build an engine with anything else again.

 

Its an awsome gasket, untill you need to replace the timing chain cover, THEN ITS A PAIN!

 

Yeah, but if I'm doing that, then dropping the oil pan is the least of my concerns.

 

then your doing something wrong. dont glue it on with sealant. just a dab of sealant where the cover meets the block and all is good and easy.
