I'm wondering what the consensus is among Maverick owners. Which grille looks better...the factory one or a later model (Grabber style)?

Whatever one, you like best, after all, it is your car.
I personally like the black ones with the lights, with clear lenses and orange bulbs.

Well some people say the 70 grille makes it look a little "Pintoy". Then again it is a 70...why make it look like something it isn't. I did get the turn signals in so I could go with either one.

The funny thing is that on a 70 Mustang...I like the standard grille and hate the Mach 1 grille. The Maverick Grabber grille is sort of like a Mach 1 grille yet it may just look better than the standard one in a Maverick??

How could it look like a Pinto? Mavericks came first, so shouldn't a Pinto look like a Maverick? :hmmm:

I have a 70 with the later grabber grille. Yellow lenses though, not clear. I like it, but I may go billet grille some day. Like I have been told on here many times, its what YOU like.

I like 'em both myself. Why not get an extra of each and combine the two?

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I like the grabber type more, but the standard one is awesome just because of the emblem, that's what im going to use on mine. But im going to use a heartagram instead of the Mav emblem :hide:

I have both. For me i like the signal on the grill. I painted the grill flat black, rechromed the bezzels, used amber lens( HIGHLY POLISHED),white bulbs. For me i think it looks awsome!

I saw the chrome skull with light up led eyes at the parts store that is for a trailer hitch receiver. I thought that would make a cool grille medallion and wire the eyes so they would come on with the headlights.

    ok...not really :rofl2:
