I am serious. I actualy threw away the last 2 I had in the fridge. My step son wanted them till I explained how I felt that they were the cause of my headaches. He then said he didn't want them either. We,re sticking to our Schwans black raspberry juice :drink:. Thanks for the concern.:)

I agree. I drank Xyience Xenergy for a little while and it caused me problems. I quit drinking them and everything was back to normal.

Despite all that, I have found my yearly vacation plan. Maybe I will have two vacations a year cause my wife has family in AZ, MI, and VA. She wants to start planing trips and I say go for it. But The Gathering is my yearly goal.
I tell you, I have only been to the last two. How can any other place other than Joplin be as good? It was mentioned that the attractions are running out so I understand the need to move. It just seems hard to beat as far as how well it all came together. The breakfast to start the day.. The parking lot where all the cars fit AND by the out door pool.. The various attractions within driving distance.. The choices of places to eat.
The whole thing is all so great. I hate to keep talking about it but it's just that I hadn't enjoyed myself like that in a long time.
Hat's off to those who took part in making it happen. :tiphat:

The coolest thing to think is that the Taurine in Red Bull is synthetic Yak bile.

Just in case you wanted to know... :)

I drink a lot of coffee, and I had one can of RedBull 5 years ago, and found that it just destroyed my system. Immediate liquid #2's, headaches, dizziness and heart palpatations.

Now the only time I have Redbull is when I feel like being a dork at the bar and having a Jagerbomb.

I have to agree with all of your points Gene, but I think the Joplin gang needs a rest and a chance to enjoy the next event, without all the responsibilty of hosting. Those folks put a lot of time and energy into the Gathering long before any of us showed up, and continued thoughout the weekend. Next year should be their opportunity to roll into town and kick back and enjoy.

I agree Jack. We can't stress enough what great job they all did. Now it's time to enjoy a few. We don't need anyone to get burned out. (y)

Thanks for the kind words, but trust me its not just the Joplin gang, all we did was leg work, I think the others involved did the hard work, and I have come to understand that some of my best friends are in this group, and most of these people I will know the rest of my life, It wouldnt matter where it was if my help was needed I would work my butt off for this event, so it's kinda hard to get burned out when you look forward to it so much, it really is a family event with a Maverick habit.

I vote for Somerset. Great central location, lots to do, family atmoshere, Ky hospitality, beautiful scenary, Lake Cumberland, houseboat rentals, water skiing, caves, lots of parks, classic car friendly atmosphere, reasonable hotel rates. It has it all.

I would drive to that one for sure. Just my opinion.

When we get the proposals (cut off date is Sep 30th). We will ask for comments from all the MCG members. You will have a chance to voice your opinion, Jim, since you are an MCG member. I hope others will take that into consideration also. :)
