I'm installing new shafts and caps in my UCA's but have a concern. If I adjust the caps so the shaft does not bind, the caps are really lose. I can almost turn the caps by hand. The threads are in good shape and are holding, just super loose.

    Is this normal?

Does this explain why people tack weld them in place?
