I am planning on buying the lokar throttle cable but am concerned about how it will hook up to the gas pedal. What mods are needed to get it to fit correctly like the factory one? Thanks...
When I did mine, I removed the plastic piece that snaps into the pedal arm, and installed it on the Lokar cable, and cut it down to length, and adjusted out any slack.
its a very simple set up i did it in my maverick mine used the same mounts just make sure you have a CABLE cutter to trim the line. you also need a return spring. i cheated and just looped a .50 spring around the cable and a bolt can post a pic if you would like
Make sure to get the trans kickdown cable at the same time, it comes with the bracket for both the kickdown and the throttle cable. Real nice set up when done.
Sorry just realized this thread is 9 months old. There are 2 types of throttle pedal arms used in our cars. One has a hole with a slot and the other uses a clevis pin.
