What else would I do mon-fri 8am-5pm Ive been on here about as long as anybody and longer than most and talked about it many times and always waited for it to happen. Finally saw enough active Az. members to be worth putting the time into it.
I hope nobody is expecting this to be a big fancy car show type thing. It's just at a little weekly car show they have in a parking lot. I just wanted something free and a place to gather. Maybe next time it can be at a bigger organized car show but then im afraid some of the guys with project cars wont show up, like Tony.
I know i said it in a E-MAIL, and i'll say it here for everyone to see. THANK YOU RYAN! not just for your getting the patch thing pulled together, but for the meet, friendship, follow up, and all that you do! this is going to be a great meet and we all have you to thank for it! Thanks again. Rick:Handshake
I think its set up perfect, there is no need for a big car show but at the same time there are other options for people to do more car related things before or after as a group if they so choose to do so. I think the real question is how do we keep it alive for years to come? Cause as you say we are in a peak right now, need to keep the spirit alive:bananaman
Just wait until Tony sees this thread about exhaust tips, http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=74734
hey, check out the 1976 maverick for sale in the classified section. i posted pictures. if i could come up with the money, i would be attending this years meet in a maverick. nice car with a lot of extra's.
Okay Tony what did you get done this weekend? I'm just waiting to put on a coat of wax and change out the kickpanels.
Aaagggghhhh!!!! Got the fuel lines finished up. Got the spark plug wires on (no small feat!). Picked up and dumped in 10 gallons of E85. Finished the underdash wiring. Bought a microswitch for the clutch. Remade two leaking brake lines. Charged the battery and hooked up the cables. Filled rear axle and transmission with oil. Still to do... 1. Install said clutch microswitch. 2. Pressurize fuel system and search for leaks. 3. Buy and install coolant hoses. 4. Add coolant (water and water wetter) and look for leaks. 5. Hook up oil pressure gauge and prelube engine. 6. Drop in distibutor and install cap. 7. Awaiting receipt of intercooler (should be here today). 8. Install intercooler. 9. Buy water lines for intercooler and install. 10. Cut and reinstall carpet. 11. Reinstall passenger and rear seat. 12. Drop it off the jack stands. 13. Cross fingers and fire the motor. 14. Align front end. 15. Bleed brakes. 16. Tune carb. 17. Figure out some sort of air cleaner for street use. I'm sure that I've missed a ton of steps, but I've got some buddies coming over next weekend to observe the initial light off!
Intercooler just showed up...it's the wrong one! DANG!!! (I have two exactly like it down in the garage!) Now I got to send it back and await the correct one...assuming they have one! This just ruined my day.
