is there not someone locally you can get one from? sounds to me like that company does not care about you at all. first mistake, eh- it happens. second mistake same as first? i would be climbing up there back side through the phone.
ask to speak with the owner
of the company( not hard to find out who it is) then explain that you are a member of several car club boards and once you put out info as to how you are treated, well im sure they will be more than willing to make you happy.
    keep us posted

Man everythings starting to pop up for the 19th.
I was going to the Test and Tune at Sir in the morning, then going to head home and get the 70 to go to Phoenix.
Now the Iwo Jima memorial is also going to be that morning in Sacaton with the Patriot Guard Riders. I've always wanted to do that.
SO, Ruth is working at SIR in the morning. Not sure if she'll make the Desert Maverick meet. I'm going on the Goldwing to ride to Sacaton with the PGR and then come home and get ready to go to Phoenix. If Ruth gets home in time she'll go with me. We may trailer the car up on the open trailer since it will probably be a lot quicker than driving the 70 up. And time seems to becomming a premium.
But one way or another I will be there. Looking forward to it. :)

Well, I believe that I talked to the guy that runs the place yesterday (wish that I would have gotten his name, but I was caught up in the moment). He is sending me the correct intercooler (aparently they had the wrong picture in the ad) at his cost, even though this one is more expensive. He is also sending me a shipping label for the one they sent me (I had to ship the last one back on my dime). Anyhow, it should be here on Monday. I'm not happy about it, but they are trying and it seems like an honest mistake on their part. I will reserve judgement until I actually see it and have it in my hand. Meanwhile the last wire was soldered in the freezing cold last night, and the fuel pump should be on it's way back to me as well. I'm thinking that will show up on Tuesday. On the plate for this weekend is to finish the carpet, run the lines for the intercooler (even though I may not have one in time), and reinstall the passenger seat, figure out how to eliminate the interference between the monte carlo bar and the distributor, bleed the brakes, and drop it to the ground again while adding wax and reinstalling the hood. Tuning goes without saying, but like I said I just want it to move under its own power at this point. Not make a quarter mile blast.

That's great news...sounds like you are still moving forward! :thumbs2: Sure you won't be ready to make a blast down the track on Sunday? :drive: As long as it is still not this cold I will probably run the car at SpeedWorld on Sunday.

Getting close Tony. I think you just might pull it off. Now arent you glad we gave you this little extra motivation? Imagine how far along you would be if you didnt have a deadline.

Now on my end I am totally screwed. I went to see if my car woud start last night and it wont. I don't know what i'm going to do. I turn the key and it does nothing. my fuel pump is running really slow and quits when i turn the key to crank. My lights are real dim too. I don't think I will have time to fix this by the 19th.

does the fuel pump start again after when the key is moved from the start position back the the start position? depending on you power source, I know most of my dash/instraments/radio all turn off when I turn the car over (start position) and turn back on when the key goes back to the run position. try giving it a jump, if the lights are real dim that sounds like the battery is low, if it's been sitting for along time that can happen.

I think the problem is cause you only got 2 pedals still. You should add a third pedal and be in a rush for time like the rest of us. LOL

I'm getting ready to leave in about an hour to go up north and work on the car again and no matter how bad the roads are get it home sunday. Should be a nice freezing cold weekend on working on the car:cry:

Ya I hear Kmart hasd a good turn out on Saturdays and have a DJ playing Oldies and stuff. I also hear that theres still a crowd that hangs in the safeway lot we are meeting. We might as well share our Mavericks with both crowds.

Hmm, Dead battery? Can someone tell me where this is at? I used the search feature and couldnt find any information that sounds like my problem. How do I find out if is my problem, can i test it? What else might be causing this? I really hope I can figure this out in 2 weeks :(

Just pull the battery out and take it down to Auto Zone and have them check it.

Early in my marriage my wife tried to charge the battery in my car when I was out of town. She called me and said that she couldn't get the clamp on the positive side and couldn't figure it out. Thank God that the electrode clamp on my stick welder wasn't designed to open that far! Lesson learned...let the experts check these battery problems! Us laymen are not good enough to do it.
