Planning An Arizona Meet

No sweat Ryan! After all, I've got 6 more weeks! Oh wait, wasn't that what I said the last time?!?

 

Well atleast giving yourself deadlines keeps you motivated to get it done. Tell you what, I don't usually do the cruise on central, BUT if you can post a vid of your car running and driving before the cruise I will go to the cruise to see it.

 

Sounds fun...I had intentions of making it to the last one but something came up and I couldn't go. I'm up for it!

 

Well sounds like the cruise on central it is

Tony since your on deck on this one, how are we going to gaurantee parking spaces at that location? What time would we need to get there to lock down the spot?

Meet location, then cruise together to parking location?


Just asking cause everytime I have went in the past parking was a PITA

The meet will be at The Uptown Plaza on Camelback and Central. I've never had issues with parking there in the last couple of years I've been going, so that shouldn't be an issue. I will plan to get there early though, just to make sure.

Anyone wanting to cruise over together, my plan is to leave Lopers parking lot (916 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85014) at 3:00pm. You are welcome to get there earlier as I will be to unload the car. That is when we will be making the convoy to the Uptown Plaza. Once there we can stay and set up camp or make the loop past Park Central. Ultimately we make that our base of operations and cruise from there.

I will take a tip from Ryan and set up an Evite for those interested here in the next couple of days. So let me know if you want to be added to the list.

 

Tony I will email you the contact list form my Evite, I was trying to find a way to add you as a moderator or something to my evite account so you could just add an event but I cant find a way to do that.

Ryan: No worries about the ride in your Mav, it was a very busy meet with limited time. I had fun meeting you and the rest of the crew, and having pizza with everyone. You did a great job putting on the Arizona mini-meet. Your Mav looked and sounded awesome! Can't wait for the next one.

I don't know if other members have noticed this about your original Mav mufflers, but the stock muffler in my 72' Grabber had the Ford oval cursive logo stamped into it, and also the word "MAVERICK". Robbie was kind enough to do a trade with me for it.

 

Hey Tony, since it looks like you are going to run with the next meet maybe we should schedule in a rain date and make the rain date in the same month...say the 23rd for example. This way if we decide to make patches again, we can still order the patches in advance but instead of using the specific date on the patch we can just put the month and year. Ryan what do you think?

 

Hi Gene, I think that we can follow what the cruise promoters are doing. If there is a rain date we will go with their schedule.
