    Hey Ryan, I might be convinced to sell my Taurus SHO if he's interested. It's a 5 speed, gets 19mpg in the city and has A/C and plenty of pep. It does have 190,000 on the odometer and I'd have to get $1200 out of it. But it looks ok and runs fine. I haven't had to do a thing to it in the past year, but I don't drive it much either. Let me know.

    Thats tempting Tony. If I had the cash i'd like to grab an SHO. He was thinking hed want something easy to maintain and work on though. but that sounds like a good deal for what it is. can you shhot me over your phone and maybe a pic if you got one to my email address, rvink@oreillyauto.com

    I'm in the same boat trying to find a economy car (I have a hard time keeping in mind that I'm looking for a "economy" car, I keep getting side tracked by '70's z cars and '80's supras or other project cars... having a hell of a time selling my bike so I can get some money for a car and some space in the garage to park the maverick... $350 to $400+ a month in gas is killing me.

    found this truck on craigslist, might want to pass the info onto your friend;

    I can now confirm the MYTH. Tony DOES have a Maverick. I saw it in all its glory yesterday. Looks wicked, can't wait to hear it. The said part is his gas tank has a leak and he only has 3 weeks to fix it. He will probably miss the central cruise and let all of us down again. :rofl2::D

    Ryan is now officially one of the Mythbusters! :Handshake

    You'll be interested to know that I spent the rest of the evening purchasing a truck. I should now be able to tow the Maverick to Lopers as planned. :bananaman

    Sad part is, that the truck needs some work and I right now that is getting all my attention. I hope that I don't lose track of the timeline for the cruise. Hmm...there was something that I needed to do to the Maverick wasn't there?!? The ADD is kicking in again!

    1973 Dodge longbed pickup 3/4 ton 4x4. Needs a bunch of work, but it's a solid foundation.

    Should have got a 67-72 ford and dropped the Coba Jet motor in it.

    Side note: Tony has been deducted 15 cool points for buying an old Dodge, and deducted 5 more for no longer having an SHO.:naughty::biglaugh:

    POR (POR-15) makes a great tank sealer, you can get it from their site or on ebay. just a thought.

    I am thinking about taking the tank to a radiator shop and having them repair the leaking weld. The place that it is leaking is a lap joint on the sump so I don't think that coating the inside of the tank will work. It would have to be the outside and I fear that it would eventually leak through again. I'm looking into the issue. Thanks for the suggestion! I will keep that as my backup plan.

    Meanwhile here is a picture of the truck...

    Oh and the Cobra Jet has to find a home in a Torino. It's kind of an homage to the guy that handed it down to me. I need to treat that old girl to a car, not a truck.

    Well I had a good time at the GCC swap meet this last weekend, even without Adam who had to stay home sick. Got rid of alot of stuff and talked to alot of cool guys. Met one guy with a Comet GT he has had for a while that he bought from the original owner. I told him about this place and he said hed try to sign up and was very interested in seeing all our cars at the Central cruise. So hopefully we will be adding one more member to our Wolf pack if Kent finds his way here.

    I'm surprised I didn't see any of you guys out there browsing around for parts. The turnout was huge. They sold out all the spots and there was a constant flow of people looking around. I saw a guy I worked with in the Checker stores. I asked him why he wasn't selling alot of the stuff he got from the Checker warehouse clearance and he said he got there too late to get a spot. So i told him to bring it over and share the spot with me. So he unloaded a crap load of autometer gauges, cams, oil pans, etc. We had a little performance shop going on. Good thing he showed up too, because I had to take a piss and didnt want to leave my stuff just laying there. :biglaugh:

    Good to hear Ryan, yeah I am just getting back to work today. Have not worked since the 11th:cry:.

    I tried to make it out Sunday morning, but thought I better not risk it.

    Glad you made good use of it and got rid of your stuff, now you got money for that t-5 swap :drive:
