If you use the fan shroud and do NOT drive it when the temps outside are above maybe 85 and I also wouldn't trust it if you get caught in traffic. Depends a lot on how your 302 is built to? Is it stock or have you beefed it up any?

Basically what I am saying is it will suffice temporarily but you will wind up overheating eventually

buy one of the Champion direct bolt in radiators off ebay. and sell the one you have to someone that wants to keep their 6 cyl.

its a stock 302 5.0 being rebuilt right now at the machine shop. the only things that will go on it is a edelbrock performer intake and a 600cfm edelbrock 4 barrell. If I have to get a bigger radiator I will, but if i could get by with it for a few weeks that would be great. My daily drive is about 40 miles and a **** load of traffic so if its going to over heat might as well buy a new one.

LOL well i completely rebuilt the inline 6 and replaced everything except the oil pump. Dumb yes I know. LOL well that went out while i was on the hwy and it burnt all the bearings on the lower end, crack the block from over heating etc.

I like the price on it. Seems like I paid tons more for the i6 parts than the v8 parts. Thanks for your help!

that is the radiator that I have in both of my Mavericks, 6 cyl and 302... oddly enough one car I had to do a little bit of clearancing on the cross member and the other car I did not have to. It only took about 10 minutes with an angle grinder to get the clearance I needed. The quality and price is great. Lots of guys here have that same radiator and I have not heard any complaints about them yet

If you have a lot of traffic on your daily commute you will be glad you got the new radiator, that old (new) 6 cyl radiator would have left you steaming on the side of the road the first 90 degree day you had to sit in traffic.

I ran a 200i6 rad, with no shroud, for 4 years of IL summers, daily driven 3 of those. I never had overheating problems. 306ci with a TFS Stage 1 cam.
