It is a 0-47762. I have a 302 with windsor heads, cam, Edlebrock Jr manifold, AOD trans, headers, and 4.11 rear. I bought the carb used. It seems to rich.
That is a 600 cfm Double Pumper, box stock it had 66 in the front 76 in the rear with a 6.5 power valve
It seems to rich because it's a race carb, not designed to be lean. DP's aren't mean't for fuel economy.
Like I said, DP Holleys are jetted rich to start with. Work down in 2 size increments if you're going to change that. What accellerator pumps are on it ? 50's or 30's ?
Well I'ding the pumps is simple, the 30's have a thinner cover than the 50's, the cover on a 50 is about a half inch thick, some DP's I've seen have 50's on both sides, a few I've run across had 30's on the primary side, and a 50 on the secondary. If it's got twin 50's, that's half your problem, everytime you plant your foot into it, 10 ccs of raw fuel gets pumped into the intake.(5 ccs per pump on 50's)
Are you talking about accelerator pumps, or power valves? Do I understand you, to say, I should have a 30 in the primary and a 50 in the secondary? Thanks for your imput.
He is referring to the accelerator pumps. They are mounted with 4 screws to the bottom of each float bowl.
