New Varishock front suspension kit . . .

The total came out to a little over $1100. It's a double adjustable coilover conversion kit from Chris Alston Chassisworks. I got it with a 1" dropped bracket even though I asked for the 2". Called them and asked why they sent me the 1" and the guy on the phone was feeding me some stuff about how it's different once you install it etc. I'm just gonna install and see where it goes. Took them one month to ship it out by the way.

The spring rate is 450 on the springs, they are heavy even though only 2.5" across.

This was a little extra but they are roller bearings metal shims that the springs sit onto.

Double adjustable, really pretty. I believe the travel length is 7".

There is a really neat joint on the top, looks really beefy.

This is the part that determines the drop. This is the 1" one they have, a taller one is 2" and that would have allowed for max drop. Bryant said we'll just add shims under it if we need it lower or we'll cut it and weld metal under the hat.

I'll take some pics with before and after height and I'm really interested to see if the front will be more solid with this.

I think I would tell them that "I'll install what I have and you send me what I ordered!" It's just good business.

I know what you saying. I don't wanna be too strict, anyone can make an error. But I wish they didn't try to feed me a feculent story about how I don't "need" a 2" drop bracket for my 67 mustang. But sir, my order is for the maverick kit. Well yea but this kit tends to sit just fine on your mustang. Um, I don't have a mustang. Well go ahead and install it and if you don't like it send it back and we'll exchange it.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I think with coilover you get adjustable height, so you should be able to get the other inch you need. But still its not good business.

And one month? IIRC they're in Washington, which i get truck freight in just 2-3 days from there.

    but it looks awesome nonetheless!

Actually they are in Sacramento. The guy said the order would be shipped 2 weeks after my order. And then I had to call them and see why it hadn't arrived and they shipped it the next day. It was actually 6 week after my order. If the performance blows me away I will give them good reviews :)
