Ordered some shackles from JcWhitney a couple weeks back. Didnt get them after about a week. I called, was told it would ship out July 1. Got an email today that they wont ship till JULY 28th ! Why do companies do that? Why sell stuff you dont have? UGG agrivates the #$$#$% out of me.

Are you trying to gain some height in the rear?

If so, stronger leaf springs are a much better idea. Shackles can make for some evil handling cars.

If trying to do it on a budget, check out the tech thread on Econoline E-150 leaf swaps. :thumbs2:

Im not trying to get more height, just replace all the worn stuff. I got new springs. Just got the shackles so Id have everything in the back.

I read on here that the jcwhitney schackles were the best to use. Are the Genera Springs good too? That is where I got my eye bolts and U bolts.

Ah yes, back orders. Try being at the dealer and try to explain to a guy with a new car that we cant get the parts to fix it for 2-4 weeks.

They just want to hold onto the sale and ur money so you don't go somewhere else. It's SLEAZY! Autocrappers does it all the time too!
Back to the topic lol - General Springs is where I got mine. Went in great! AND the people on the phone were knowledgeable and friendly!!

That shouldn't be a problem but if it is just call your credit card company. I believe there are laws about time limits on back ordered parts ...

I've never had much faith in JCW, for years they seemed like a pretty low budget place, that sold low end parts.
