    Why?
If it's solid, and spotless..you'd be close to that, taking a car that needs work and fixing it up.
    33000 miles....nice!

Like we always say...a car is worth what the market dictates. It's worth what someone will pay for it. It is a nice looking car from the few pics.

I agree that it takes alot of money to get one that nice. I can see where a seller that has put alot of money, work, and time into a car, would want a high price. I personally, wouldn't pay that, maybe half that...but maybe someone else will.

I wouldn't mind eventually buying another 72 or 73 maverick, in addition to the 72 Grabber that I already have.

And hey Dave: If a mint 73 Grabber, in White and Orange, with the orange Halo vinyl roof, and Orange interior, ever pops up on Ebay out of nowhere, I hope you and I don't get in a bidding war over it! :D:D

I know you like that style, and so do I, and several others on here. I would love to have one of those again, or restore one like that also. Maybe some day....But I will restore my 72 Grabber first.

I agree, it's probably worth the asking price to somebody, maybe a lot of people. I hope it sells and I hope we continue to see signs of our cars increasing in value...

However, I personally, would never buy a Maverick or Comet like that one. One of the main reasons I love having a Maverick is guilt-free modding. I could never take a car that original and well-preserved, and do to it what I've done to mine. And that to me would take a lot of the fun out of it.

I would have to add....it it is TOTALLY rust free car....could be worth the asking price. V-8, Factory AC, sport mirrors. Now if it was a real Grabber and had high back buckets!!!

For some reason...almost everyone wants a REAL Grabber. Seems to drive up the "perceived" value somehow if there is a "93" in the VIN.

Awww....the old "professionally appraised". Now if only that piece of paper could actually buy a car. :D

Just look on this board over the years, or go to a car show and have people come up and ask: "Hey....is that a REAL Grabber". I see it and hear it all the time. Personally...I don't give a hoowee about it. If my orange car was a clone...would it be worth any less? Probably not. But maybe it would be? Who knows.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    Very nice survivor!

    I feel the same way.
My car is a just a base model but yet it had more option than the grabbers did in 75. But just because of the name it would be worth less despite the fact of having more options.

Yeah Drew...I agree. It's interesting...the demand for Mavericks and Comets seems to be going up, in spite of the bad economy...and demand seems to be outpacing a possible increase in supply, in the marketplace.

At least the supply of these cars being put up for sale doesn't seem to be going down much...if anything...I think I have seen more of them offered in the marketplace in the last couple of years...but I could be wrong.

You would think the S and D curves would be making prices go the other way. In other words, a bad economy, would be lowering the demand, due to lack of funds, while supply is up, due to people needing to liquidate.

The Ford Mavericks seem to be weathering this economy, and in my opinion shows that these cars are becoming an even better investment. Just think what the prices will be when the supply gets worse. I hope I can get a second one, before the prices get too high.
