Welcome! I am also from PA, near the Wilkes-barre area. I actually bought my Maverick from a guy near Reading!
I'm 7 miles south of Wilkes-Barre and the raging Susquhanna River, up in Mountain Top, so I am high and dry. I have had 2 pumps working in my basement at times to keep up with the water coming in. My garage stays dry and, even if it took water, my car lives up on jack stands so there is a buffer built in there. I lived through Hurricane Agnes in 1972 living in Kingston and we had 7 1/2 feet of water in the house. My brother still lives in the old homestead and was evacuated on Friday afternoon. He may be able to return home today. Agnes devistated the Wyoming Valley with a river crest of 40.3 feet. Since then, they raised the levy system and the Susky crested at 42.6 feet early yesterday morning and the new system held - barely.
I had it worse with Agnes. I was going to school on Long Island and tried to come home on that weekend. Ended up stuck in New Jersey.
