    Looked at a Maverick yesterday and it had glass deflectors or something, just wondering if anyone has seen them and are they a factory option or aftermarket.

    Talked to a guy, here in town, with the same vents. He bought them from J.C. Whitney. They look like they came from the factory.

    I know that they are built just as good as a factory part and not something that came out of the bottom of a Cracker Jack box.

    Thanks for the info on the wind vents. Talked to him again tonight and he is asking more than I want to pay for the cars....

    74 Maverick - 82 Ford Ranger,one of the first ones made!
    I still have one of those! I forget which side it was on, but I only had one so I removed it. The bad thing is that they drilled through the chrome trim and the door to mount them. I think they're ugly and I need to get the new chrome pieces to cover the holes. I'll run into those eventually! :)

    I've seen wings like that on a Fairlane before. Dads Comet came with those when he bought it back in the day. I'm pretty sure dealers would install them for some customers. Not all are a JC Whitney piece
