    Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum. I am currently watching for a 1970 Maverick in the Nashville TN area. However I would love to find my old Maverick. I bought it in Glendora, CA in 1980 from the original owner. I pulled the 6 out and put in a Bill Blair 302 V8 but sold it when I could not get it smogged. I sold it to a guy who worked at Saveco Sales in Riverside, I think he lived in Moreno Valley. It was primered red and the license plate was 1BADMAV. I am pretty sure he was going to keep the tags.
Has anyone seen or heard of it?
    Thanks,
    Charlie Shew

I believe there is a member on this board with that user name. Wonder if it might be the same person? Go to the community button and search the member section. Might just get lucky.

    Hey Guys,
Thanks for looking. I've been watching for my 1BADMAV for year. I am currently restoring a 57 Chevy I have owned for 25 years, it has a 383 500HP motor, sounds great, I can't wait to drive it. I am also getting my 89 Ford F150 ready to become my daily driver.

    Guys,
I really love the photos of the Mavericks and Comets. Once I get my Chevy on the road my wife might let me get another project car. It would be a 70 Maverick. I thought it would be neat to put a late model FI Mustang V8 with the OD transmission, just a thought.
Here are some photos of my 57, I have been working on it for 12 years. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started. Here are some of the mods I have done:
Rack and Pinion, 1" drop coil springs, 2" drop spindles, 4 wheel disc brakes, leaf springs moved under frame, mini tube kit, 12 bolt posi, 383 500HP, 700R4, shaved everything door handles, trunk and door locks, emblems, dash and firewall. I have removed the small vent window and it will have all electric windows.
I plan to paint it myself, maybe in my garage next summer. Here are some photos, I hope the Ford Only guys don't get pissed. I love cars in general. I bought my son a nice looking 98 Mustang and yes I tried repeatedly to let me buy him a Maverick.

The pictures got flagged as spam (and no, its not because they were Chevy pics).

Looks like a nice project. The guy I travel around with to races runs a 57 Bel Air with a 350. Drives it on the street also. Thinks nothing of diving under it and switching rear gears to cruise. Course we go at each other all the time. Last engine we put in he put together for me. :)
