Worked on cleaning up some of the pieces of the 69 Mustang steering column that I am going to be using - I'm really beginning to like this 000 steel wool - cleaned the rubber boot up really nice on the collapsable column tube :yup:

Ordered a boat load of parts so I can stuff the 302 in where the 250 is now and finished putting the other disc assembly on. Tomorrow I'll get after the rear axle and yard the shackles off and maybe I'll start the transmission removal.

Pulled the four lug 8" and put the five lug 9" in but did not get the shackles swapped. The originals in the white car are stuck so I decided not to fight them today.

It did go in easy but all I did was move it from one Mav to another and in doesn't mean done!:biglaugh: It is on the springs and bolted to them but there are no brakes and I need a different yoke for it, it still has the flange from the Lincoln.

Did your axel tubes require the bottom plate to be modified? Or is the tube on that 9" same size as the mavs? Im positive mine are needing modified as they are 3.25" and was just was wondering what was required to do it if you just drill new holes in it or something, if you did do you have any pics?

I used clamps to squeeze the u-bolts so they would fit the plate since I don't the right plates yet. The only reason that worked is because I have lowering blocks in it right now, without them it wouldn't go.

Installed the new headlight bulbs, put my new dome light lens in, put the grill back on, it will have to come back off for restoration.. Installed my new monte carlo bar (a perfect fit)... I let the car run and warm up, while I was topping off the trans fluid and my T-stat never opened so I think I'll throw a new one in, I think I got a bad one...
