I finished off the 71, it is now officially dead. I hacked at it thinking some key parts were salvageable but as I got into the nooks and crannies there was weak rusted metal there too. Of all places that was solid it was the cowl. I did save the two sides with the hats, just need to clean off the excess tin.

the other parts were for the hahn boys, a set of 73 high back bucket seats

Went to put gas yesterday. As I'm pumping gas I hear this voice behind me, "is that a maverick?" I say yes it is. Then he said, "man, I haven't seen one of those in years!"
I always chuckle ever time I hear those words. Nice way to start off the new years

Thats cool aint it?? I get in so many gas pump conversations with my car. Love rumbling up to the pumps. Till I have to pay anyhow.
Best one was a young girl who loved the car so much she wouldnt move her car from the pumps. She spent the entire time I was filling just walking around it asking questions. Whole time I'm thinking man this is great. I get a car that seems to attract hot young women (figure its the color) after I have turned into "the old guy with a cool car". :hmmm::biglaugh:

Pretty much finished fixing a dent behind my front driver side tire on the bottom edge of the fender... looked as if someone had been playing golf with a bar and made a creased dent on a edge... hammered it out for the most part than decided to finish off with bondo than primered it.

Cruised around earlier, got told I had a sweet badass camaro at the checkers resturant and stood out in the cold with some good friends as it spit snow flurries. The raped a lexus ricer on the freeway on the way home nothing like 70mph rolling burnouts on the interstate
