The mav is gone but i'm still here!

Yes, but to make it look right you would have to swap out the grille, hood support and front bumper over to mav style.
I bet there's a couple of guys who would even flat out trade you for your comet parts.

I have one of these hoods and the fit and finish are second to none! I always get compliments on this part of my car. It seems a shame to go to a car show and leave the hood up.

The Comet hood has a compound front edge and is more "pointy" than the Maverick hood. (This is because the Comets needed better aerodynamics for ultra high speed applications. :p) So, if you put the Maverick hood on the Comet, the grill below it will not follow the hood edge line. I'm not even sure if a Maverick hood would fit with a Comet grill.

Here is a Comet with a Maverick hood and grill: http://www.maverickcometclub.org/pics/carey_butler_comet.jpg
Notice the lower grill valance has the Comet shape?

Could not find a Maverick hood with a Comet grill, maybe someone has a picture of one. Or it does not fit, so there are no pictures of it.

It doesn not fit. The grill sticks out past the front of the hood.

He did this on purpose right around tax time lol...

I want one badly, but I am going to restrain myself to finish the build and rock the steel hood until I can get one.... it will be the finishing "touch"

    glad you like it!

now post photos or you didn't get it! lol!

i wish i could i had in mind mirrors and well i did do spoilers but really my margin on that stuff wasn't really even worth it to be honest. too much work for what i was selling them for.

until maverick guys understand you get what you pay for.... they will "get" what they pay for. lol! ie: i don't know how many people told me they spend more money on those "other" hoods then my carbon fiber one in the long run and it still didn't fit. lol!

either way glad you liked it!

and just hope i continue making them.... get it NOW!
