Click the link under my photo that says "images" because you might have to do the same amount of work to get that monster to fit :tiphat:

Also be aware that the Maverick does not have a lot of distance between the frame rails either :)

Do it, take lots of pictures for us, and put Ford valve covers on it.

Yeah!!!! Why try something different??? Hell no, man! Let's stifle the crap out of anyone's creativity, ingenuity, and "dare to be different" attitude!!!! Screw all that hot rodding stuff....just do the same thing everyone else is doing!!!! :rofl2:

Christ on a stick, people...........with beliefs like this every damn Maverick on the planet would still have straight sixes and two barrel 302 engines.

If it has been done, I haven't seen it. And I definitely have not seen an old school 426 elephant hemi in a Maverick, and I have looked for that. 440 Mopar I have heard of.

I love mixed breeds, not just ten minutes ago I saw a 1950 Jaguar with a 389 4-speed combo from a Pontiac. Awesome.

i do already have the motor thanks to my cousin ans a bottle of kentucky delux i bought the motor out of his srt8 magnum for $4500 wich is a steal in my book. the reason for the swap is because my 306 is wore out its been abused for the last 8 years first in a dirt track car and now in my maverick with a 125 shot on it. and about a week ago my soft touch came unplugged and i spun this little stock rod motor 8300rpm the only thing that saved me was the arp rod bolts but it does ha a bit of bottom end noise and the motor is smoking after its warm. when the local track opens back up im gonna pull the n2o and fuel jets and see how fast this little car can go i will be sure and make a video of it

WOW! Pretty intense for having a different approach... But it isn't what you think.

There was nothing indicating "stifling" any creativity. But of course, that is your assumption. I simply had an inquiry - if that is alright with you?

If the man knows what he's endeavoring, great. Had it even occurred to you that if he doesn't, Markso125 provided some excellent insight, (albeit in a jovial manner of delivery), to ensure he's on a successful course?

That was all, nothing to deter his ambition. :tiphat:

I didn't see where he had any questions about it...
I must have missed where...Markso125...had installed a... 6.1hemi ...in a Mav "to ensure he's on a successful course".
I didn't care for his...chevy motor...comment but to each his own...I also use to think...anyone could put a Ford motor in a Ford...just saying

I felt he captured general aspects to consider. Again, different views.
