they seem VERY snug going over the studs, they go down a few threads and then stop..they feel as if they need punched/pressed but then it would wreck the threads id assume, never installed a set before so i'm wondering if this is normal or i have an issue with the balls i got?
Are you putting them on the stock rocker studs??? They should slide on and fall to the stops (stock studs) Check em for burrs and be certain you have the right size...
If they're ball type fulcrums, they're not true roller rockers, but roller tipped. They should slide all the way down past the ends of the threaded portion of the shank. Roller tipped rockers are kinda a waste of money if you bought em new. The tips don't decrease much in the way of friction. The real firction saving is in full rollers in the roller trunion that takes the place of the fulcrum.
They are stamped steels, I believe they screwed up and I got 5/16 instead of 3/8 so I guess I'll order a set of 3/8 and get it all together, thanks veryone I appreciate the help!
nope..they gave it to me lol...and it it all 3/8 but the balls and the studs are the exact same size so they wont go over..should i just get a set of 7/16 pivot balls and be done with it? because i dont wanna screw my studs up. im going to call comp tomorrow and see what they say, the digital caliper told me theyre both the same size btw

been searching and searching...since i threw out the arp box i found these at jegs...they are 3/8" but 7/16 thread..this must be what i have! so will switching to 7/16 balls solve this? whats weird is i tried a nut and it threaded on.
If you have 74 heads, you've also got positive stop studs and the balls are not going to fit past the threaded portion of the studs. So the rocker balls you have now are the correct ones.
