I pulled a set of complete Granada disc spindles from a 76 Granada to put on a 73 Maverick (Grabber V8 if it matters). The pads, discs and calipers look almost new, and the bearings are quiet and spin freely. So I will try to reuse the whole setup. Have a few quick questions that I can't find a clear answer to:

    1) The flexible hoses look old and worn and I will replace these. I read from other postings that the disc brake ones are longer than the drum version and the hard line is in a different location. When choosing new flex hoses, should I go with ones for a 75-77 disc Maverick, the 76 Granada, something else?

    2) 75-77 Maverick disc or 76 Granada tie rod ends? Again, same or different?

    3) Are the disc tie rods the same thread as the drum tie rod adjusters? Or do I need different size adjusters as well?

    4) Recommendation for a good/cost effective ball joint and tie rod separator. I have the fork style, but don't want to risk damaging the boots. Would prefer a screw type, but not sure what one best fits this application.

    Thanks.

When I installed the Granada disc's on my 73 Grabber, I used 74 Maverick disc brake hoses, and didn't have to bend the hard lines at all, everything fit fine.

I used the outer tie rods from a 77 Maverick and the sleeve was from a 72. Threaded right in. My brake hoses also came from a 77 Maverick.
