Anyone know a set of triple gauges, under 50 bucks preferred, that dose not have a "active" oil temp line that goes to that gauge. It scares me if it comes loose or breaks or anything! Thanks!!
Yeah i cant find any cheap ones under 50 bucks that is complete electrical. Ive heard from people telling me there only 30 bucks or something but cant find any for that price...
Personally...I wouldnt use cheap guages to monitor the engines vitals. Dont skimp here...Get a good 3 guage set up from Autometer/VDO or the like... You wouldnt want a doctor to check your heart rate with a cheap knock off EKG machine would you???
I agree w/ Mavman72. Wait until u have enough money to get a gud set and u'll only have to do it once. U don't want a oil gauge saying u have 70lbs of OP when u only have 30. A reliable set of gauges are a lot less expensive than replacing an engine. U get what u pay for!
Better than a soup can on the end of a string ...or say you have 30 lbs and you have 3. You can buy one gauge at a time then buy the mounting panel to put them in
I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge, but switched the vinyl tubing to brass for piece of mind. That plus, I have had the gauges for years and the tubing actually deteriorated while in the package. It was only subjected to the heat in my garage ... interior temps go to 140-150 here in Florida. The only problem I had in the past was leaving a fitting a bit loose and the inside of the oil gauge filled up a bit ... didn't leak into the car, but it did stain the inside of the gauge. got lucky I guess. I'd worry more about not using an ammeter. Too much juice having to run through that one gauge. Get a set with a voltmeter instead.
