hi phil great to see theres people with good taste all over the world mate, ironically my mav is garaged beside a mk 1 cortina, i bet you know what they look like!:Handshake
I sure do but I bet ours have a lot more rust on them than they do over your way? I plan to race my Maverick in the Classic Touring Car Club running here in the UK and also with a new club that has started called Bernies V8 challenge. Its full of all sorts of muscle cars etc. Look out for some in car video when I get the car finished. Cheers Phil
i will keep my eye out for that phil. They have a class called touring car masters over here, with names like "john bowe, jim richards and e few other iconic legends. No mavericks in there although they would make for a really competative race car. I had to part with my windsor powered mk3 zephyr to make way for my maverick,it was a fun ride too!
yay, ive finally got some images in my gallery, thanks to my kids, will post some more after ive finished the engine rebuild(with extra strut braces thanks ED)
hi phil, i noticed somewhere on this forum that you were looking for a suitable shifter for your toploader. im not sure if your class of racing allows it but a company called www.renegate.com makes a sequential shifter and apparently quite easy to install..... just a thaught mate.
Welcome from Iowa! Where do you live in Queensland? I lived in Toowoomba for awhile back in the early 80s, Gold Coast and Brisbane too. Sure miss it there.
cheers, i hope the weather is good to you in IOWA. Im living about 15km from brisbane cbd. i love the weather at this time of the year. The gold coast is not a nice place to live at the moment mate as the crime rate has risen too much lately, but its still beautiful. i like your ride buddy. cheers Ivan
