So I finally got my car going with the t5 setup and wow I wasn't expecting such a big difference. My set up is a 302 bored over .60 aluminum heads, torkerII intake and cam, headers, full exhaust with a x-pipe. And the rear end has 4.11 on 295/55/15 et street radials. At first I was always about the c4 buts its just not great when it's a daily driver going on the highway so I invested in the t5 setup and wow I'm blown away at how much faster it feels, I could never feel the pull of my car cause my stall was only at 1500 and was slow in the hole but not anymore!! My rpms dropped from 3200 going 60 to about 2200 2300 rpms!! it feels nice cruising on the streets and on the highway now too. For people who are scarred to do this don't be!! It's a whole lot of fun slamming them gears in ;)

Good to hear you got it all back togethor. Sure is a whole new car isnt it? Im really happy with my T5 swap too. I switched from an AOD which worked great on the track but just wasnt fun to drive on the street.

I hope you are driving it up to the Mini Meet at Sandy Lake Park in Carrollton (I-35E & Sandy Lake Dr) on Saturday 10am to 3pm. You can hook up with Doug in Austin and caravan.

Also, Ghetto in Austin needs some parts from me. He would pay your gas if you pick up the parts for him.

    See you there.

Yes it feels like a completely different car, I'm gonna go after the new 5.0's ill tell yall how I'll do. And sure I'll get some pics tomorrow, yeah I used ck265 and fit perfectly. And unfortunately no I wanted to but I've ran out of funds to do anything big like that for a couple months :(

the t5 conversion was the best thing i did to my car. i wasnt happy with the car when it had the c4. it was simply boring to drive and even race. i put the t5 in and it was a whole new car.
    congratulations and keep having fun.

I love my T5, and use the Mustang Steve cable setup. BTW, do you use the longer or shorter cable?

Mmm I use the ck265 kits the new cable he has, that suckered is pretty long had to go all the way around shooting from the firewall and does a u-turn and goes thru the headers ( put heat shield on it or it will melt) and goes to the tunnel, I'll get pics up soon. I need to work on it right now and fix my header collector gaskets. Dumb paper ones always blow out -_- going copper.

can you route the cable away from the header? that was the reason they went with the longer cable was so you wouldnt be going through the header. If it goes forward far enough can it go back in between the motor and motor mount? that will keep it off the header.
